Terrabotanic hand-builds open terrariums, moss art and paludariums — miniature rainforests, mossy woodlands and character scenes, all breathing in the open air.

Every piece is an open terrarium — assembled layer by layer, planted by hand, then tended until it finds its balance.

Our paludariums are the studio's most ambitious pieces — a living cross-section where a pool of water meets a mossy bank and a planted rise. Ferns climb the hardscape, moss creeps to the waterline, and the whole scene shifts a little with every drop of light.
A still, clear pool anchors the scene and keeps the air around it humid.
A planted bank of moss, ferns and hardscape rises straight from the water.
Built to breathe in the open — misted, trimmed and tended by hand.
Bright, indirect daylight keeps the moss vivid. Keep it off a hot, sunny sill — direct sun scorches an open terrarium.
Open terrariums breathe, so they dry out gently. A light mist every few days keeps the moss lush and green.
Fresh, moving air is the point of an open build. Give it a spot with good airflow and it thrives.
